[edit] 125 Dk/t figure
About the last line in the article: "The rate of oxygen transmissibility is 138 Dk/t. The minimum requirement to prevent stromal anoxia during overnight wear is 125 Dk/t."
Check the link at he bottom of http://www.o2optix.com/faq.shtml "Click here for an IMPORTANT NOTICE regarding 90 Dk/t as a critical minimum for daily wear."
It opens a pop-up that says: "CIBA Vision Corporation recently disseminated advertising and promotional material for its O2OPTIX contact lenses. This material stated that O2OPTIX has a Dk/t "far exceeding the critical minimum threshold of 90 Dk/t to avoid severe hypoxic stress with daily wear." It further included a bar graph indicating that CIBA Vision's Night & Day and O2OPTIX lenses have DK/t levels above the 90 Dk/t "critical minimum," while Johnson & Johnson's ACUVUE ADVANCE and ACUVUE 2 lenses have Dk/t levels below that threshold. CIBA Vision's claim that 90 Dk/t is a "critical minimum" to avoid severe hypoxic stress with daily wear has been found false by a federal court. The source to which that threshold was attributed does not support that claim. Accordingly, by federal court order, CIBA Vision is obligated to advise you that it is withdrawing this advertising claim."
What is the source for the 125 Dk/t figure cited in the main Wikipedia article? --PowerMacX 23:58, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
