[edit] Summary
Pictures of currency used during the German Occupation. The top two notes were those used by Guernsey Civilians. The bottom note is an example of military currency used by occupation troops. The copyright status of the currency designs themselves are difficult to ascertain, as they apparently were designed by Edmund Blampied at the instance of the German occupying forces. Assuming that there is some copyright holder somewhere, use of these images is nonetheless "fair" under U.S. law, as it illustrates both the discussion of the scrip issued during the occupation in the article, Occupation of the Channel Islands as well as the discussion of this particular scrip in the article, scrip.
