Oğuz Savaş

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oğuz Savaş (born on 13 July 1987 in Balıkesir, Turkey) is a professional basketball player of Fenerbahçe Ülker. The center is 2.13 m tall and 130 kg weight and wears 21 number for Fenerbahçe Ülker.

The true back-to-the-basket center Turkey has coveted for so long. Despite his young age he has a very mature head. With hands like the great Arvydas Sabonis he can be the next great passing center to grace the parquet. He has a decent mid range jumper for a center. But he is still very young and big players need time to develop. But Savaş is a rare breed among a rare breed position. He is a little bit slow and runs into foul trouble way too often but those can be acceptable due to his very young age. He might not be ready to contribute right now but he has already knocked on the national team door and is about to demolish it with great force.
