This is a template that calls another template.

[edit] Displaying

To Display this ladder on a page use {{NZFC 2007-08 Position Ladder}} You can pass "yes" to any of the teams initials as a parameter and it will highlight that team's row in that team's colour.

for example use {{NZFC 2007-08 Position Ladder|TW=yes}} to highlight Team Wellington's line.

You can add any CSS style to the table with the style= parameter.

[edit] Editing

To edit the positions of the teams after results you can edit Template:NZFC 2007-08 Position Ladder and change each of the values.

In previous years, all parts of the ladder had to be updated. There is some automation now. If teams change positions on the ladder then you will still have to adjust these to match, but when viewing the ladder any column can be clicked on to sort the table.

T1-T8: These are the positions on the ladder.
T1W, T1D, T1L: These are the Wins, Draws and Losses for this team (first in this case). The Games Played and the Points for the team are totaled automatically from these.
T1F, T1A: These are the goals For and Against the team. Goal Difference is calculated for you.

[edit] Limitations

  • As of May 2007, the sorting of the goal difference column does not work. The work-around for the sortable table has been applied but it appears to have a bug for negative numbers.
  • Point deductions have not been factored in to the ladder yet. If a team has points deducted then the underlying template can be adjusted easily to accommodate this.

[edit] A-League version

The NZFC position ladders and all associated files such as this documentation are copies of the A-League position ladders that have been adapted for NZFC use. I am mentioning this here to avoid taking credit for someone elses work - Gialloneri (talk) 10:43, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Template Specific Additions

The top three ranked teams will have their names bolded - this is to reflect that the top three teams qualify for the playoffs.
