I'm a conservative Christian (Reformed Presbyterian) from west-central Ohio. Things about me...hmmm...I'm a student of history, especially Roman and Russian...a fan of folk legends (although I've not read many)...a lover of language and student of Old English...an adult leader with the Boy Scouts...a somewhat active proponent of digitization of books...and many other things that I don't have time to put up and you probably don't have time or inclination to read. I appreciate Wikipedia because of its many hyperlinks that I follow somewhat randomly down miscellaneous rabbit trails.
Although I'm a student of history, I actually do very little research for Wikipedia. Instead, I work extensively at making information already on Wikipedia more easily accessible. This includes such activities as article categorisation, the creation of navigational templates, and the creation of short stub articles to fill out lists; for example, at one time, I created many articles on Ohio townships using information already on their county pages. The main way in which I add new material to Wikipedia is the uploading of personal photographs, especially of highways and small towns upon which or through which I pass.
Because I do lots of small mass edits, and because I tend to be slightly absentminded, please don't be surprised at an occasional illogical edit summary, such as "Added map" when I meant to say "Stub".
