Description

Directional signs for New York State Route 404 in Webster, New York. This sign assembly is at the intersection with Five Mile Line Road, facing north. What's notable about this assembly is that the State Route 404 shields use the shield outline for U.S. Routes, rather than the normal New York State Route shield outline. While what is now Route 404 was once designated U.S. Route 104, there never has been a U.S. Route 404.
