[edit] Still exists

Useless trivia, perhaps, but FYI ... NYNEX as a legal entity still exists, and is the parent company of the still existing Verizon New England, Inc.. NYNEX, in turn, is wholly-owned by Verizon Communications. The NYNEX name is not used by Verizon in its marketing campaign. It exists now only as a corporate legal and tax entity with Verizon's corporate structure. --CPAScott (talk) 15:44, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
