Hey everyone,

      I am a young boy from New York who may not have been around the world and explored many places like people whom are older then me, and I may not know a lot about the world yet, but I do know that right now in Darfur, Sudan a genocide is going on.  Many people might not know what the word genocide is, so here is the meaning.  Genocide is the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national,racial, political, or cultural group. This is what is going on in Darfur.  People from just born to one hundred are dieing everyday.  Everyday from starvation, murders, etc.  This should not be happening.  This is the first genocide of the twenty-first century and should be not only stopped, but should be the last of the twenty-first century.  If we don't act now, what will people in the future think of us?  Cowards? I know that I won't be called a coward, and you shouldn't either.  Stand up for what is right, and help try to stop this.  Write letter's to President Bush, Call the White House daily, send e-mails to the President, make poster's, alert your community, HELP THE PEOPLE IN DARFUR!  They need your help, and if this was happening to us, I think that they would do their best to try to help us too.  Lets pull our troops out of Iraq and put them where they should be, which is in Darfur.  You can make a difference in the world and I think it's about time we all start trying.  So lets do this thing and help save the people of Darfur.
