Nydalen is a subway station on Oslo T-bane located on the Circle Line (T-baneringen). It was opened as part of the first leg of T-baneringen on August 2003. Apart from Nationaltheatret, it is the only underground station on the west of Stortinget. Like Storo, Nydalen has a central platform with tracks on both sides rather than separate platforms on both sides of the track. Artistic effort was put into the construction of the subway station, and the escalators were built into a "Tunnel of Light" exhibition.
The station is served by lines 4 and 5, though line 4 changes number to 6 before it reaches the next station, Storo. Close by the station is the Norwegian School of Management (BI) campus.
There is also a railway station on Gjøvikbanen called Nydalen (Nydalen Railway Station), located close, but not next to the subway station. Both are located in the Nordre Aker borough. The area around the stations is largely industrial, though the area (Nydalen) is gradually being changed into a more residential-industrial mix.
