Nybergsund

Nybergsund is a village in the municipality of Trysil, Norway. Its population (2005) is 329. It is located by the Trysil River, a few kilometres south of the centre Innbygda.

Nybergsund was bombed by aircraft during World War II on April 11, 1940 because the Norwegian king and government hid there. After the war, a stone monument commemorating the event was erected.

The local football team, Nybergsund I.L., plays in the Norwegian Adeccoligaen.
