[edit] Licensing

This is a photograph taken of an April 1982 Northwestel telephone directory, for the Northern British Columbia and Yukon region, that shows the White Pass and Yukon Route train passing through Bennett, B.C. The inside cover legend says the photo is "courtesy of the Whitepass and Yukon Corporation Limited", and is the last time a photograph was used on the book cover as opposed to artwork. The book was published for Northwestel by Regent Publications, the photographer is unknown (and not named in the legend).

At the time, the WP&YR fleet's engines were painted in the blue-white-black colour scheme, but in the early 1990s, the colour scheme was changed back to the green-yellow scheme used for the first diesels in the 1950s.
