[edit] Welcome
Welcome to Wikipedia, the greatest encyclopedia on Earth! You seem to be off to a good start. Hopefully you will soon join the vast army of Wikipediholics! You may wish to review the welcome page, tutorial, and stylebook, as well as the avoiding common mistakes and Wikipedia is not pages. You may also want to check out Wikipedia:Merge, for information about merging, renaming and moving pages. The Wikipedia directory is also quite useful. In addition, you might want to add yourself to the new user log; if you made any edits before getting an account, you may wish to assign those to your username.
By the way, an important tip: To sign comments on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments.

[edit] Less official welcome
Hi, I'm not a fancy template or anything, just a lowly editor like yourself. Saw some of your contributions, hope to see more. I corrected one small error, the grape used in Sauternes is not Muscat but the unrelated Muscadelle, which, believe it or not, is not the same grape used in Muscadet, either. Isn't French grand? Anyway, have fun, stay on your toes accuracywise, and I'll see you around. Wnissen 14:03, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

Apologies to everyone for this notification being sent out so late, events in real life prevented me from distributing it at the time, and the Wine Project's had a bit of a lull during the Northern Hemsiphere summer. But as the nights draw in, activity should pick up again, and hopefully the next Newsletter will arrive a little more quickly....
The next few weeks are the perfect time to take photos of grapes in the Northern Hemisphere - get your cameras out! FlagSteward 15:51, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
