NVIDIA Tegra is an all-in-one processor architecture designed for mobile devices such as smartphones, PDAs and MIDs.
The line-up currently consists of the APX 2500, Tegra 600, and Tegra 650 processors, with the 600 series targeted at PDA/MID market and APX 2500 targeted at smartphones.[1] The Tegra is a "computer on a chip" which integrates CPU (ARM), GPU, northbridge, southbridge and primary memory functionality onto a single package. The first product to use the Tegra line is scheduled for release toward the end of 2008.
The APX 2500 was announced on February 12, 2008 and followed by the announcement of the Tegra product line on June 2, 2008.[2]
