[edit] Founder Profile

Canadian entrepreneur Pasquale Cusano founded NUVO in 1998. Pasquale grew up in Florence as a farmer cultivating olive trees and grape vines. Pasquale and his family moved to Canada in 1967. He decided to foster his passion for jewellery craftsmanship and joined a friend's jewellery firm working in the retail store by day and learning the art of handcrafted jewellery making at night. In 1978 Pasquale founded his own firm, Montecristo Jewellers. Montecristo Jewellers has European and Canadian jewellers and setters that design and handcraft 18 kt and platinum jewellery and also offers other prestige timepiece and jewellery brands such as Rolex, Breguet, Harry Winston, Wellendorf, Mikimoto and more. Pasquale has been awarded the BC New-Canadian Entrepreneur Award in the Retail category by the Ethno-Business Council of BC.
