Nurse Peggy Bigelow was a fictional character in the TV series, M*A*S*H. She was played by Enid Kent who now works as a librarian.
She appeared in numerous episodes (13 over the last 7 seasons), and was often seen with the other nurses in her tent. As was the case with most of the other female members of the 4077th, Hawkeye was constantly trying to seduce her. In the episode "They Call the Wind Korea", she was wounded, giving her more screen time and more lines than in any other episode. In the episode "In Love and War" she revealed her first name as "Peggy" (also the first name of B.J. Hunnicutt's wife).
Bigelow had been a nurse at the end of World War II and had worked in an emergency room in Chicago before going to Korea. In the last episode, she announced that, after having witnessed so much carnage, she was giving up nursing, stating simply: "I've had it."
