Nurilla Zakirov

Nurilla Zakirov (1942,Tashkent,Uzbekistan - 2003,Atlanta,USA), Soviet and Uzbekistan classic music composer.
He was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and studied in Tashkent State Conservatory in class of B.Zeidman (composition) and A.Yablonovsky(piano). He served as a vice-chairman of the Union of Composers of USSR and Uzbekistan (later) for many years.Former chairman of Music Foundation of Uzbekistan Republic. Music Director of State Radio and Television Company ( GosTeleRadio) ( 1990-1991).
His works have been performed in festivals and concerts in Soviet Union, East and West Europe, India, and USA.
In 2000 he moved to USA for political and professional reasons.
Among his works are the ballets, operas,piano and violin concertos, symphonies and chamber and piano music, music for movies and other works.
