Nuria Bermúdez (born 12 January 1980) is a famous Spanish glamour model, FIFA-certified football agent, actress, and serial WAG. She is now both wife and agent to RCD Mallorca and Spanish striker Dani Güiza.

Born to a father who was in the Spanish military and a mother who was a nurse, Nuria started off her showbiz career at age 11, when she appeared in Teresa Rabal's TV programme La Guardería on Antena 3. By the time she was 15 she was a regular on Madrid's clubbing scene, and was soon dating various celebrities, the first being Antonio David Flores, the former Guardia Civil and husband of singer and actress Rocío Carrasco. Her boasts that they would have sex five or six times every night led her to numerous appearances on Spanish chatshows, in particular Crónicas Marcianas. However, according to Nuria, her agent ran off with all the money - 400,000 pesetas - which taught her the hard way how to look after her own money.[1]

By age 18 she had already appeared nude in a large variety of Spanish magazines, especially Interviú, where she continues to appear. One of Madrid's most recognisable "It" girls, she eventually became well known for her outrageous covershoots, as well as unexpectedly removing her top during live TV interviews.

[edit] Sex, Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and other footballers

A lifelong Real Madrid fan, she famously announced that she had slept with at least six first-team players, but it was David Beckham, upon his arrival at the club, who was the main focus of the gossip press,[2] even staging photo opportunities for the awaiting paparazzi. [3]

Although it is generally assumed that Beckham was not one of her conquests, she still managed to get in many papers and magazines and her methods led to her turning up uninvited at Beckham's hotel following the 27th birthday party of Brazilian teammate Ronaldo, which led to a presumed row between Beckham and his wife Victoria.[4]

Nuria repeatedly turned up at his Santa Mauro hotel, and tip-offs to paparazzi supposedly from Beckham's own eleven Cuban bodyguards led to Victoria taking action and reportedly sacking them for indiscretion, including former spy Delfín Fernández, Beckham's then chauffeur and head of the security team. Nuria announced that she had been exchanging raunchy texts with Beckham and that herself, Rebecca Loos and seven others had slept with the star, asking for £12,000 for the full story.[6]. [7]

"Details" of their "relationship", widely reported in German tabloid Bild, were then shaken off by biographer Andrew Morton. [8]

Her relationshio with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo on the other hand has been much more mysterious. When asked, she has repeatedly been very coy about their three-year relationship, until he reportedly left her for Andorran-born Portuguese TV presenter Merche Romero, which caused Nuria to enter a short depression.[9]

After she was sued by Portuguese and Real Madrid player Luís Figo in which Nuria said, during a TV chatshow in 2002, that Figo had been double-dating his then partner, she lost the case in 2004 although Figo never denied the affair and decided not to take the matter further following a public apology by Nuria.[10]

In 2004, Nuria played the part of Maria la Fácil in a comedy directed by David Gordon and written by Coto Matamoros, called Plauto, recuerdo distorsionado de un tonto eventual, which got slated by the critics.[1]

In 2004, a mass-mailing worm known as Tasin.C (aka W32/Anzae) promising naked pictures of Nuria caused problems among computer users. [11] The suspected creator of the worm was subsequently arrested in Écija. [12]

An attempt at a pop career with girl band Spanish Girls, designed to emulate the Spice Girls with Nuria in the Victoria Adams/Beckham role has not been very successful, although their first song, Me vuelves loca, got some airplay and a strong gay following.YouTube

Nuria Bermúdez is joined in the girl band with fellow Spaniard Eva, Stephanie from Cameroon, Liz from Brazil and Sandra from Germany.

[edit] FIFA football agent and her relationship with Dani Güiza

In 2006, Nuria sat for the qualifications to become an official FIFA football agent, which she passed in flying colours, proving many critics that she was more than a bimbo. She scored 29 points, just five below the top.[13] She also obtained the highest score for a female football agent in Spain. [14]

It was shortly after then that she met her future husband, Dani Güiza, who at the time was playing for Getafe CF, having joined from Ciudad de Murcia for €800,000, and well-known on the party-scene. To the surprise of then Getafe coach Bernd Schuster, Nuria turned Dani around, stating "Ever since Dani's been with Nuria, he turns up to training and it doesn't look like he's slept under a bridge". It was Nuria who brokered a €5,000,000 move to RCD Mallorca, where he became pichichi (top goalscorer in La Liga) in the 2007-2008 season and the first Spaniard to win it since the 2001-2002 season, as reported in The Guardian. Nuria has since straightened out her image, and is keen to show a professional and executive image. She is also likely to cash in on her husband's success, with many big name clubs looking to sign him in the summer of 2008, including Valencia CF, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, AC Milan, AS Roma and Manchester City. Asked whether her beloved Real Madrid would sign him, she replied in a recent interview that they would not because "Real Madrid only like stars and won't buy someone from a humble background." She continued, "They prefer to pay 50 million for a player with a name more like Güizinho" [16]

On 1 December 2007 Nuria gave birth to Güiza's son Daniel at Polclínica Miramar in Palma de Mallorca, and whom she hopes will become a famous player like his father.[17]
