Nunak
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Nunak are a native Colombian hunter-gatherer tribe from a border area near Brazil. Many have been displaced by Paramilitares, FARC, EZLN, and Colombian Army fighting from the nation's ongoing civil war. Some 300 still live in the jungle but up to 500 have fled and been relocated by the government. They will not stop them from returning now, however they wont help them return. The story has made international headlines as has the plight of their people. Many are now getting diseases of which they have little to no immunity.
