Talk:Number of the beast

I still think it should go to the disambig page. It is likely that someone might make a spelling error. Dori | Talk 19:06, Mar 8, 2004 (UTC)

Seems extremely unlikely. At most a note should be put at the top of the Number of the Beast (numerology) page. AFAIK, we don't create disambig pages for spelling errors. Anthony DiPierro 19:09, 8 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Disambiguation pages exist where there is ambiguity. This includes minor spelling errors (such as a different in the case of a word). There would be no reason to include anything at the top of the Number of the Beast (numerology) page as there is a link already at the bottom, in the see also section. Also, ideally there should be no links to disambiguations pages from other articles (except to show that there are more meanings). Dori | Talk 19:13, Mar 8, 2004 (UTC)
Show me the existence of another disambiguation page which was created solely because of a spelling error. Wikipedia:disambiguation talks about when to add spelling errors to an already existing disambiguation page, but it doesn't say anything about creating new disambiguation pages from spelling errors. In any case, it seems extremely unlikely that someone linking to all lowercase would be referring to a book. Anthony DiPierro 19:19, 8 Mar 2004 (UTC)
I don't know off-hand. I know that I would have done so if I had come across such a case (and I might have actually done so and forgotten about it). Stranger things have happened than a mispelled link. Besides, people might just specifically look for that article. This issue is not of extreme importance to me, so I'll leave it be if you insist.
