Numbers 0-9

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Situated in a courtyard of the Indianapolis Museum of Art [1], Robert Indiana's sculpture "Numbers 0-9" colorfully welcomes visitors to this Midwest arts institution. Featuring the numbers 0-9, each of the ten painted aluminum sculptures rests on its on black base, and boasts dimensions of 8 x 8 x 4 ft. [1] [2] One of the many pieces found on the grounds of the IMA, the 10-sculpture piece was commissioned in the early 1980s and was a Credit Line Gift of Melvin Simon and Associates.[2] [3]
