Atomic and nuclear physics has fascinated me ever since I started reading about it. I am a very strong supporter of particle theory. Even though I had always loved physics, I never really focused on it outside of school. It wasn’t until a coworker of mine had brought up a physics related event that made me remember my interest in the subject. Ever since, he and I talk about nothing but physics. It was that catalyst that inspired me to start reading. The first book I picked up is a self teaching guide called Physics Demystified, by Stan Gibilisco, and I came across the chapter entitled, Paricles of Matter. I was just so sucked in by the quantum world, and it was that instant I had realized I wanted to learn more.
