Nuala Anne McGrail (full name Marie Fionnuala Anne McGrail) is a protagonist in the Nuala Anne McGrail series of eleven mystery novels by Roman Catholic priest and author Father Andrew M. Greeley. The novels in the series include Irish Gold (1994), Irish Lace (1996), Irish Whiskey (1998), Irish Mist (1999), Irish Eyes (2000), Irish Love (2001), Irish Stew! (2002), Irish Cream (2005), Irish Crystal (2006), Irish Linen (2007), and Irish Tiger (2008). Nuala Anne is a professional singer and a native of County Galway, Ireland who marries American Dermot Michael Coyne and moves to Chicago, where she raises their four children and solves mysteries. Nuala Anne is a bit "fey" or psychic, as is her eldest daughter Nelliecoyne, and often relies on her intuition to help her solve mysteries rooted in the past.
