Nsumi

Nsumi is an art collective based in New York City.

Since 2002 the group maintains a long-term experimental consulting project, in which they work for (other) art collectives and networks, free of charge.

Nsumi has collaborated with numerous artists and collectives including Trevor Paglen, Peter Fend, Rainer Ganahl, Basekamp, and Paul Ryan. In 2004 they produced the Art, Circuitry, and Ecology Conference at the City University of New York Graduate Center, and in 2006 they organized a large scale installation called Collective Incubator as a part of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council’s Swing Space Residency. They have exhibited at numerous galleries and universities. Their work has appeared in Satya magazine, ARTE TV EU, TRACKS, NYFA, Eco-logic.com, Total Theatre Magazine, The New York Times, Archinect, New York Sun, and Art News.
