As explained above, my name is Nathanial L. Smith. I currently can describe myself as a member of the otaku community. I am 20 years old and currently attend courses at Bristol Community College. My current major is in the Executive Administrative Assistant field of Office Administration. I reside in the town of Norton, Massachusetts in the United States of America.

I have had major influences from Japan as a child, teenager, and is having a tremendous influence upon my future. As I child, I enjoyed the Power Rangers series and as many people already know, Power Rangers is based on the Super Sentai Series in Japan. After watching the fifteenth incarnation of Power Rangers, Power Rangers Operation Overdrive, which was the American adaption of GoGo Sentai Boukenger, I wish to follow the Super Sentai Series from now on. This is due to the dumbing down of a certain Boukenger episode which made a weak Operation Overdrive episode by comparison. Also, the 31st season of the Super Sentai Series, Juuken Sentai Gekiranger, had such an intense plot, general nods of appreciation from Toei, the studio that produces the Super Sentai Series, to thier fans, and has more mature themes than America deems is appropriate for children, I believe that the Super Sentai Series is the better franchise to follow.

As a teenager, I started getting into anime. After being introduced to the anime series, DragonBall Z, I have been into anime ever since. And after finding out that I was a member of a subculture, called otaku, I felt so enthralled that I wanted others to get this same feeling of belonging and euphoria. To that end, I decided that I want to get a job at FUNimation Entertainment, the studio production that got me into DragonBall Z in the first place and gave me my current otaku status. To obtain this goal, I signed up for classes in the Multimedia/Web Design field of Computer Information Systems. However, after a couple of semesters in, it appeared that the field that I was in was not the right field for me. So I ended up spending another two semesters trying to figure out my place and now am hopefully in the right field for me.

Another way that Japan is influencing my future is I currently am just a few steps away from having a medical addiction to almost all things Japan. I often retreat into my online persona "Nasaniaru." This has made me cut all sociological ties to people I once kept in contact with. In fact, I so often retreat into this online persona, that it is almost if my real identity as Nathanial Smith has become my alter ego.

This actually brings up a very important point. As of March 1st, 2008, I had started to carry out plans of suicide. This was due to the fact that I had absolutely no friends, was failing at school, and had for a week before, been almost unable to function in the real world. I had decided that I would take some of my father's sleeping pills at 9:55 am on April 28th, 2008 and deliberatly overdose on amitriptyline. I don't know why I chose this date and time but having autistic like tendencies may have played a serious role in the choosing of the date. Another factor is that the date and time in question would be when I officially and biologically became 20 years old. I managed to discuss this with my family, psychologist, and psychiatrist and now am working on a plan to relieve the stresses in my life that made me become so depressed. I now no longer have such strong suicidal thoughts.

On a lighter note though, I am into astronomy. I think that space is a wonderful place. It is full of mysteries that we homo sapiens sapiens are just beginning to unwrap. I also think that the universe can give us some of the most inspiring images I have ever seen. It is truly great to live in a time like this.

If I were to put myself in a political alignment, I would have to say, that I am a Liberal. I am a newcomer into the world of politics, having reached voting age only two years ago. I know that politics are very important in my life but unfortunately, I am not too concerned with this topic at this present time.

I believe that is all I need to say about me at least, biographically speaking. The information to follow is simply trivial and provides insight to me as a person.

As far as topics of interests, I am currently interested in Anime, Astronomy, Dragons, Evolution, Fighting Video Games, Manga, and Tokusatsu.

As far as topics of importance, I do not support the Iraqi War, although I do support the troops fighting there with all of my heart. I would like to see the homosexual community recieve the same rights as heterosexuals. (I will admit truthfully though the idea of homosexuality seems as if it were an alien concept) I also would like to see a member of the black or feminine community to become a President just to see how they would differ from a male or white President. I support abortion up to a specific point of the fetus's development. I am against the death penalty, and wish that humans could just realize that killing for the sake of religion is just plain stupid and that the efforts that are currently being invested in war should be redirected to peace and the betterment of our species and planet. I am rapidly ceasing to believe in God favoring concepts such as the Big Bang and evolution. I am also drifting to the non-religious/psuedo-religious/religious concepts covered in the Flying Spaghetti Monster field of thought. Also, similar to Boss of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, I would like to see the world united as one global entity.
