1. Warn, then block, then to WP:AN, and/or WP:AN/I for advice, then act on advice from 4 or more experienced Admins. 2.Seek advice, then act on it. 3.Implement longer block, warn of BAN on vandalisim and/or violation of NPA protocol, seek advice of 4 or more experienced Admins, then act on this advice.
I've heard that a agreement of 3 Admins, and/or the Boss can have someone tossed out of Wikipedia. How is this performed ?
A Admin is not a janitor, he/ she is like a police officer, otherwise Wikipedia would be a real mess.

Re : Nomination for adminship for (aeropagitica)
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to vote for me in my recent request for adminship It ended successfully with a final score of (40/10/5). I value all of the contributions made during the process and I will take a special note of the constructive criticism regarding interacting with users in the user talk space. If you have questions or requests, please leave a message. (aeropagitica) 16:48, 7 March 2006 (UTC) |
My RFA
Thanks for your support in my RFA. The final vote count was (66/2/3), so I am now an administrator. Please let me know if at any stage you need help, or if you have comments on how I am doing as an admin. Have a nice day! Stifle 17:02, 7 March 2006 (UTC) |
On Recent Events
I saw signs of your WikiStress boiling away at WP:ESP/ALERT. I hope it won't too long. I've emailed my two cents' worth, don't know if you may agree or not, but perhaps you may gain something from it. - Mailer Diablo 17:31, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Another RfA for your questions
I've nominated another user (who will accept, but hasn't yet). I thought you might like to add the additional questions you've recently been adding to a number of RfAs. The nomination is at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Cactus.man. Thanks, --Durin 21:31, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Gibby...
I'd suggest you might want to add a note to his talk page regarding his lengthened block -- wouldn't want to give him yet another thing to complain about, if he edits in 24h and gets hit by an autoblock... :/ Alai 03:29, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
Coffee
I haven't seen one of these old-fashioned stress relievers for a long time. Of course, now we have the coffee lounge, where you can come to play games and discuss non-wiki matters. Anyhow, I'm glad you're feeling relatively less stressed now. If you need to talk about something, please feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or send me an e-mail. (I'm trying to take a wiki-break, too, but I will still check my talk page regularly.) Enjoy your coffee! --TantalumTelluride 06:05, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
JohnBWatt and Mucky Pup
Could you take a look at JohnBWatt's actions of late on Mucky Pup, as well as the report I put of his actions on the 3RR list? This user has become incredibly hardheaded again, asserting ownership and demanding that only he can determine the content of the page, and consistently deleting valid information that he deems unworthy. Ironically, the information that he insists on deleting is details about major notability that helped swing the AfD discussion, I think... thanks... MikeWazowski 06:41, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- If you know someone else who can look into it, I'd appreciate it. The guy is turning into a major ass, as he's now decided to try and report me as a vandal for correcting his multiple grammar mistakes in the article. Something needs to be done about him, as he's abusive, petty, and I can only see this continuing, since he seems to feel he owns the article. Thanks. MikeWazowski 07:18, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- I've suggested they both cool off and try to work together. Presumably they both really like the band in question, so instead of fighting they ought to channel their common interest. Please note though that I didn't try to attribute blame and haven't studied the edit history throughly (it's been A Hard Day's Night). --kingboyk 07:27, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, I've only ever heard of the band in connection with Bloom County. That's how I discovered the page, through the link on the Billy and the Boingers page... I could care less about who left the band and/or when the did, but as a former editor, I do care about presentation. Correcting his poor writing apparently struck a serious nerve. You RFA Questions
Just wanted to let you know your RfA questions are killer! Real world situations that make you think, good job! While having no ambition to be an admin any time soon, I hafta say if I was nominated, I would dread answering your questions because they are so good, and there is no perfect answer, but many many wrong ones. links in section headers
I noticed that in your edit summary to User talk:EddieSegoura, you suggested that he not use links in section headers. Thats a guideline I hadn't seen before. I have used them some myself and was not aware that it is not recommended. Could you please cite the MoS or WP article that discusses this? I am not doubting your word, but just if I am to recommend this to others, I would like to be able to point them towards some published guideline. Thanks. --rogerd 03:32, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

What is your basis for reversing my edits?
I gave my reasons for adding this passage in the Talk page. I believe the passage itself helps to justify its inclusion. The following is my comment from the Talk page.
Has Bush quit drinking alcohol?
The official version claims that he did so in the mid 1980s. This video strongly suggests that is a lie. [9] Please explain, if you care to do so, why this article should not be changed to say something like:
"Bush has admitted to abusing alcohol, and even though he claims to have quit drinking altogether in the mid-1980s, he seems to have relapsed at least one time since then. In Lubbock, Tex. in 1992, he attended the wedding reception of his friend Jamie Weiss. During this event he was filmed apparently consuming alcohol while already in a state strongly suggestive of inebriation. Moreover, the video shows that Bush repeatedly mocked Weiss and other individuals for not drinking alcohol, which would be strange behavior for the teetotaler he was supposed to be at the time."
Remember, history is not tantamount to a criminal trial. I certainly should not have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that Bush drank alcohol at that party. A preponderance of evidence is more than enough to warrant mention, and any reasonable person would agree that the video provides that.

- Please discuss major edits, esp. if there isn't a consensus to add that in. Also, please follow the proper referencing format. NSLE (T+C) at 03:40 UTC (2006-03-09)
UPP revert
I think SIP had the right idea with the revert. Do we have an established suffrage for that poll? I haven't seen one, and the posts are, as he said, defamatory until we have a policy (and we didn't at the time of the poll). I may revert (your revert) unless you can point to some policy that establishes suffrage for the poll. ... aa:talk 04:32, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Possible sockpuppet
Hi - you recently blocked User:Queeran and (I believe) his/her probably sockpuppet User:I AM. A new User:BlatherAndBlatherscite has recently begun editing with the same (though somewhat subdued) pattern of insults and POV-pushing as Queeran. The user was quickly blocked and has just as quickly inserted an unblock request on his talk page (as Queeran and I AM used to do). I just thought you would like to know and be on the lookout. Thanks. Ramallite (talk) 04:18, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
My RFA
Hello! On my recent RFA you left some additional questions/situations for me to answer, but then did not vote in the RFA. I realize you weren't committing yourself to voting in the RFA, but I am curious, were my answers satisfactory? Was there something else that prevented you from voting? Really, I'm just looking for feedback as the RFA failed and I was hoping to collect some comments or any other suggestions as to how I could improve as a Wikipedian, so as to hopefully succeed next time. Thanks a lot! —akghetto talk 08:01, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Re: Your recent edits
Your recent edits to categorise your user page in a category for people with Wikipedia articles can be seen as disruptive editing, which I've already said if you keep up, I will bring up at any RFA of yours. Please avoid categorising your user pages in categories not meant for user pages. NSLE (T+C) at 09:37 UTC (2006-03-13)

That is an absurd request. User:Waya_sahoni is blanking large parts of the article, using some RfC that he authored as justification. This is simple vandalism; it will be reverted on sight as such. Irishpunktom vs. Netscott
Hello, sorry to disturb you but I noticed that you as an administrator have been editing on the Jyllands-Posten_Muhammad_cartoons_controversy. User:Irishpunktom made a 3RR violation report against Netscott. Netscott has been blocked but in my lurking on the article I noticed that Irishpunktom was as much a violator as Netscott and so I made a report of 3RR violation against Irishpunktom. I was hoping you might be able to comment/administrate on my report. In reality Netscott didn't even merit a 3RR blocking. Thanks!

You revert an entry when I really need it?
Look, I'm trying to get help. Esperanza is a type of Wikipedian support group so I joined out of necessity. If I can't post what I'm stressed/depressed about here, then where on Esperanza can I? --Shultz III 06:35, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- You have previously been blocked for, among oter things, trolling and pagemoves, as well as incivility. In all honesty, that is not something Esperanza needs in a member. As your member status is disputed (I've noted that on the member list), I chose to not add your status. I suppose you could readd yourself if you decide to note that your status as an Esperanzian is disputed. NSLE (T+C) at 06:39 UTC (2006-03-15)
-
- Please let me explain myself- The trolling wasn't intended to be trolling. I don't want to troll and make users unhappy. Sometimes I may post something that I didn't know was trolling beforehand, but I learn each time, and try to keep everyone feeling fine about me and my contributions. The page move was because a username sounded inappropriate, so I thought it had to be pagemoved. An admin apparently decided it wasn't inappropriate after all.
-
- I wish to start fresh and have a much better time on Wikipedia. Please let me join. I'm already depressed as it is by someone else. I'm trying as best as I can to be a model Wikipedian. You don't know how much I would love to be a part of Esperanza. This support group will make me feel much better about all of WP. --Shultz III 06:53, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

-
- Thing is, you see, while I (and a few others, and please realise this is nothing personal) dispute your Esperanza membership, nothing is set until I can get the Admin-General to take a look. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to add yourself to the list. Once again, nothing personal, and if you do get accepted, welcome. NSLE (T+C) at 06:56 UTC (2006-03-15)

Hey NSLE, I noticed one of the Wiktionary people has tagged Eddie's page as the exicornt vandal. You should try Googling "Exicornt" now. Holy moley! He's been very busy. Hello. I've seen that Benjamin has not been here for too long, so the chances of him replying to a message on my talk page are remote, so I've archived his request. If he comes back, though, you and Essjay should resume his coaching. I've also moved Redvers to the archives as he is undergoing an RFA and sailing through; you still should be available to answer any questions he might have. As for being able to request coachees, sure, but try to pick one that's near the top of the list (not necessarily at the top) so users who have been waiting do not get upset, and tell me on my talk page, so I can make the necessary arrangements. Re: Your RfA questions
I don't know if it really needs it or not, but you might want to embolden the word "abusively" in question 1... just a thought, take it with a grain of salt. I recall only one misunderstanding with that, but it's kind of like the test things where they embolden the word "NOT" to stress it and make sure the testtaker knows its the opposite of what the question as asking... -- Jjjsixsix (t)/(c) @ 03:45, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
Inquiry
Let me correct you on something, or Since English isn't likely your first language let me explain to you, are quotes that to many users see as incivil, and rather condescending, however, I assumed good faith with you before, and somehow I still do. Nevertheless, just like the last time when you tried to guess my ethnicity, and automatically assumed English is not my first language, and now back to the gist of the most recent discussion, in that I never tried to ban anyone from my talk page, I`m curious to know, when did I, in any form, used or implied the word ban to user Lukas in my talk page? I asked a similar question about how did you assume my ethnicity, but you never replied, so, I’m curious, this time please reply and tell me where did the word ban come from? I certainly asked him many times to refrain from spamming my talk page; there is a difference between refrain, and ban, is there not; or, you may have assumed too much again? I object to your protection. There is no dispute, there is trolling. The difference being that the trolls are not amenable to debate. Your advice to "bring it to RFC" is hollow, seeing that there has been a lengthy, full-fledged arbitration case about this. What we are looking at now is pure disruption by the users banned in the decision. People have tried to reason with the trolls, again and again, for a year. Your protection will change nothing, they will just be back. If you really want to do something "conductive to Wikipedia", you should block their socks. If the trolls succeed in getting the article locked, yes, even in the version they are reverting, they have won. Protection is useful when there are parties prepared for reasonable debate. There are such parties, but they are shouted down by the trolls. The side now doing the revert-warring have not engaged in meaningful debate since October 2005. Do everyone a favour and block the socks instead so that the good-faith editors can get a chance to work on the article. dab (ᛏ) 10:39, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

As much as I see you're a highly regard wikipedian, your deletion of the Salad Fingers Theories was illegal, there was never a VFD which was successful and Wikipedia is a democracy. You should have the copy of the original article, I cannot access it from the deletion log. Salad Fingers has reached internet/culture popularity and by no means was the article threatening any established wikipedian rules. The authors of the original article spent weeks perfecting the article and so many hours gone to waste would be a pity. Perhaps if it was inevetible the deletion, I would have words with the other authors of the original article and we could put it up as an external link on the original Salad Fingers articles(assuming the article is alive somewhere in the history). Hi, you reverted my edit on Mardan Mamat, how ever that edit was made in conformance with the style manual. In particular: Locations should be included in the biography portion of the body article. For example, "(12 February 1809 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England – 19 April 1882 in Downe, Kent, England)" should be separated to "(12 February 1809–19 April 1882) … He was born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England … He died in Downe, Kent, England". -
- I think I understand why you reverted the comments he made as an anon IP to my talk page, however I restored them and thought I'd let you know why. For me, at least, I think such actions should stand as they are - he is not likely to garner support - even if my general attitude/history would make me likely to be sympathetic to his position, by using an IP to evada a block - I am not goign to even try to figure out what the issue is - and I am predisposed to just ignore it. Trödel 12:32, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- I've left him another warning spelling things out. If he edits again, I don't see the need for an Arb request; this is pretty straightforward. I will block User:Rgulerdem indefinitely and anons can be temp-blocked as they come up. Superm401 - Talk 20:13, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Block of Ponijs
I was reviewing the category of the unblock template and came across Ponijs. I'm not sure this user warrents the indefinate block yet. The reason giving your block was personal attack with 3rd/4th edit, suspect abusive sock. I don't see his edit as a personal attack, or maybe it's just me. Also, on his talk page he admits to having a previous account called User:Fatalis. I checked the block log on it and it came up clean. Since he requested to be unblocked, can't we just assume good faith with him and keep an eye out? Moe ε 22:06, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
