[edit] Plot
Aeverine is furious and seeks out a new therapist when Lynsay Geraldo fails to support her after the client's appointment is taken by a new client.
After Lynsay tells Aeverine that she’d had her chance and blown it, Aeverine almost gives up. Against her better judgment, Aeverine goes to talk with the nemesis, but after new client tells Aeverine "go to hell, you tranny bitch." Aeverine demonstrates her passion by punching out the new client and beats him up.
In the first clinic, a therapy session held in a tent and led by (while apparently still trying to reform) Tina Craven where most of the clients are sex offenders and rapists. The next one is Creative Care of Quilsville and the Willis' are confused of the Ethnicity barrier. The third is a New Age/Progressive clinic made entirely of steel (attended by Peter) where the Willis' go no further than opening the door and hearing negative stereotypes of transgendered community and lod jeering. The fourth one is a MegaTherapist, which the Willis' stay with.
While getting coffee at the MegaTherapist store, they see Geraldo, where she is grabbing a cup of coffee, words are exchanged. Geraldo is shocked to see that the Willis' are therapist shopping, and hopes that it isn't over the client issue. They assure her that it is indeed the case, first Geraldo wouldn't take Angela's idea for survelliance sessions, now this. Geraldo storms out, exclaiming that the new client has sat in their pew every week since their absence, and they are recovering, too.
The Willis' take a trolley to the massive clinic, which they are impressed with at first. The Willis receive much attention and are given extra duties.
The coordinator then gives Aeverine a buzzer that goes off whenever there's an activity. When the buzzer rings, they call the therapist to find out about the activity.
After a while, when the buzzer is constantly going off for their help with the clinic, and activities every day, the Willis go to the MegaTherapist to say how they prefer a smaller therapist's clinic.
Swapping clinics between Bart and Aeverine, she quits and is forced to make amends with Lynsay in order to reclaim her place at their old clinic.
[edit] Notes
- This episode is inspired on the real-life events of the NO SIR GIFTS/Community Support Program Brawl , mimicking the events on December 1, 2006.
- During an argument between Aeverine and Angela, a somewhat similarity of the same quote from the Nieves/Shelton Brawl repercussion was also used on this episode and took place at the family dinner table.
“ | Aeverine Willis (to Angela Willis): Honey, I don't care if we go to a new therapist or whatever. It's not because I was right about Bart and Mrs. Geraldo is wrong, it's because sometimes we crazy do things when people don't support you nowadays. I'm not gonna take any more chances of losing everything I've worked hard for because some bastard burned me.
Baxter Willis: Aunt Aeverine, you had a good therapist and you were disloyal to her. Aeverine : If you want to work with a slut, I would kick her ass. And you know that, Baxter. It's not that when a therapist is working with a criminal or deadbeat dad, and as long as I don't see it that's fine with me. I will not stand by taking a chance on losing everything I have worked hard for over some (BLEEP) (BLEEP) (BLEEP) because of a broken mental health system that is supposed to help M2F's like myself. I can't do it, Angie. What kind of message is that sending the kids that had to put up with what I had to go through because 'I can't tell you due to HIPAA'—(BLEEP) that! Angela: Ava, we'll go to the Mega-Therapist and work this out. Aeverine: I'll try my best to work with the Mega-Therapist but I will not allow some someone steal our seats again. I can't handle that (BLEEP). Our marriage is on the line with you being pregnant and what not, Ange. But I'm done with counseling. Deanna: I don't know what to say now, Dad. Tom: Maybe you can plant drugs on Bart. Aeverine (after punching Tom in the face): What the hell is wrong with you? What were you thinking, Tom? Tom: Ow! I was thinking of a way to get rid of Bart. |
