Template:Nrhp source1/doc
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a template to generate links to National Register of Historic Places.
[edit] Instructions
- Determine the county in which the historic place is located (this should be on the appropriate list of registered historic places)
- Go to nationalregisterofhistoricplaces.com
- Click on the State listings link
- Click on the link for the state
- Click on the link for the correct county
- Search for the listing, and note the page (some counties have more than one page's worth of entries)
- The page URL should look like http://www.nationalregisterofhistoricplaces.com/''code''/''county''/state''#''.html, where "code" is the two letter code for a state and "county" is the county it's in
- "#" will only occur if the county has more than one page's worth of entries; otherwise, it will simply be "state.html"
- Add to the external links section the text:
- {{Nrhp source1|code|county|state#}}
- where "code" is the two letter code for a state, "county" is the county it's in, and "state#" is the page
[edit] Example
- Searching for "Ybor Factory Building", you'll reach this page: http://www.nationalregisterofhistoricplaces.com/FL/Hillsborough/state2.html
- Copy the information and then write:
- {{Nrhp source1|FL|Hillsborough|state2}}
The result is Hillsborough County listings at the National Register of Historic Places
Note that, since this will almost certainly go on the external link section, you should add an asterisk (*) before the template text to include it as a list item.
