[edit] Can You protect Angel Locsin's article

Hello can you protect Angel Locsin's article again because i know that the article will be vandalize and vandalize again if many IP Address know that that it is not protected anymore. Thankyou SMXMaTT (talk) 00:35, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Unless if it's bombarded with vandals and/or fanboys messing up the article, then a protection isn't necessary yet... Blake Gripling (talk) 00:40, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
I'm watching the article. Need to let it be unprotected for a bit to see what happens and need to see a reason to protect it again. --NrDg 00:44, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Multiple Sock Puppets of User:Gerald Gonzalez (Part 2)

To Blake Gripling:

He sent me also hate messages in YouTube. Another one, alleged sex scandal in his video. Then, Gerald also post a foul comment on my channel and said: His name is User:SBTVCAL and User:Ginacarmen that blocked me falsely. Unknownquinones (talk) 09:44, 2 June 2008 (UTC) Another one, his YouTube account also blocked me. Unknownquinones (talk) 13:36, 2 June 2008 (UTC)

I don't understand the point of telling me this. All his known accounts, including the ones you mentioned, have already been blocked on the English wiki which is all that can be done here. What happens on other net locations might lead to blocks here, depending on what was said or done, but the blocks have already been done here for other reasons. --NrDg 16:10, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
Pls. read the instructions to report the violations of NassJamesGoodLooking: (1. Register in YouTube) (2. If you have already an account but not activated, please go to your mail and confirm the e-mail address to be active) (3. Pls. go to NassJamesGoodLooking channel and report the image profile violation and his background graphic also, also flag all of his videos for any reasons). If you report his violations, I will give you a barnstar. Thanks! Unknownquinones (talk) 17:58, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
I am unable do anything about stuff that happens outside of the English Wiki. YouTube is not a part of that. --NrDg 03:25, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

I think User:203.177.240.215 is a sock of him. He seemed to act like him, and his style of POV-pushing looks as though he's doing it... Blake Gripling (talk) 03:15, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

It is suspicious. He just can't seem to leave the Angel Locsin article alone. I'm not certain though, so don't want to block right now. --NrDg 03:23, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Went over edit history - it is definitely Gerald Gonzalez. --NrDg 03:32, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Agreed. His style of arguing over article editing issues seems to fit the criteria for a typical Gerald sock... Blake Gripling (talk) 04:15, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Also watch out for any IP edits in the ranges 203.177.*.* (203.177.0.0/16) and 222.127.*.* (222.127.0.0/16) on Gerald's normal targets. I've been going over a bunch of them and see the familiar pattern. --NrDg 04:19, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
The 203.177.x.x and 222.127.x.x range is from Globe Telecom, so be careful when blocking them. I have a Globe cellphone prepaid subscription, and I'm using that range. Blocking the range as a whole might start a string of false positives, so a selective block is necessary. Blake Gripling (talk) 04:22, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
I'd never block a /16 range - too much impact on the non-involved although it can be blocked in a way that lets registered users edit. It is just part of a pattern to look out for. Being in that range AND editing certain articles is just suspicious. --NrDg 04:31, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
I see in ip-adress.com, that IP address User:203.177.240.215 is located in Cebu City. Unknownquinones (talk) 03:07, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
He created another sock: User:Superstar 1325. This time, he's redirecting several articles related to Marian Rivera. -Danngarcia (talk) 10:49, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Great work!

The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
Keep up the great work of keeping the vandals at bay. Your work here is greatly appreciated! Tiggerjay (talk) 07:02, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks.--NrDg 13:47, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Please check this out!

http://justjared.buzznet.com/tags/vanessa-hudgens/ http://justjared.buzznet.com/tags/zac-efron/ please just take a look at these

here are the links showing pictures of them together, holding hands, and kissing. Scroll down from the top and it has them at the MTV movie awards, JAZZ game and other places. That should be plenty of proof to change it to "currently" in a relationship with vanessa hudgens. You can go to the main site just so you can see that its not a phony one or anything. If thats not enough proof, she was seeing giving him a kiss as soon as he won best breakthrough performance at the MTV movie awards the other night, thanks!!!

i was just hoping it to change to currently dating, because if you check more than the first set of pictures and articles, you can tell they are together, sorry to be nagging it just seems to be enough evidence —Preceding unsigned comment added by 07lwcayce (talkcontribs) 02:13, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Replied on Talk:Zac Efron. --NrDg 03:07, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Woah, looks like we have a stubborn POV-pushing vandal here...

Ugh, when will this Gerald Gonzalez nimwit stop from bugging us? Blake Gripling (talk) 01:36, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

He's been at it since at least Dec 30, don't expect him to stop any time soon. I do wish he would find another hobby. --NrDg 02:19, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, like do something more productive than being a foolishly obsessed fan of Filipina actresses - "fanboys have a hard time being neutral..." - ROFL LOLZOR! Blake Gripling (talk) 02:53, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Can you delete this page?

OK, so user GMA Divo spawned the article Dragon Ball Z: Anime Designer; which obviously qualifies under speedy deletion, as it's in another language, and is obviously unencyclopedic... God Bless and have a nice day... Blake Gripling (talk) 00:38, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

I see by the red link above that it has already been taken care of. --NrDg 01:54, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] sorry

sorry about the pics 4 Demi Lovato & Selena Gomez, i was trying 2 help, so i dont want u 2 think i was vanidlising(sorry cant spell) Meliss402 (talk) 14:13, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

It wasn't your fault as you relied on the image information which was false. I removed the warning message as your edits were in good faith. --NrDg 14:16, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

ok thanks! next time i'll double check the picture info before i post =) Meliss402 (talk) 21:05, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 additions

Even w/ the article deleted, that anonymous IP keeps trying to add it back. Might it be possible to have the Template:Alvin and the Chipmunks‎ locked from new users edits? That template looks to have all the required info and not really need any updating. Also, can a range block be done on the IPs? They all seem to start with 98.30. Just some random thoughts, as I don't think we want to keep up this low-level, but constant, edit war. Anyhow, thanks and good night. :) --Ebyabe (talk) 01:19, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Protected for a while. Guy is on a dynamic IP so blocks unlikely to work.--NrDg 01:40, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
Range block would be too large on a /16 range - too many people would be effected. --NrDg 02:36, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rico (Hannah Montana) Page Being Deleted

Thank you for being so nice to me about this, but I see many good reasons why the Rico page shouldn't have been deleted.

1. Obviously you don't watch "Hannah Montana", because if you did, you would realize the importance of a Rico page.

2. You seriously don't think I was gonna' add more things to the page the next day?

3. I'm sorry about the Miley's information appearing in Rico's box once, but don't you make simple mistakes like this too.

4. Just give people time, and they will look at the Rico page.

5. I put the TV stub sign on the page, so of course it's short.

This is the second time I made this page, and I don't want to have to make it again. All I'm asking for is a second chance —Preceding unsigned comment added by PsychoSchuyler (talkcontribs) 13:12, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

There used to be a Rico page. Someone nominated the page for deletion using the article for deletion (See WP:AFD) process. See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rico (Hannah Montana) for a record of the discussion about this and the conclusion reached. This is a formal wikipedia process. I disagreed, see my comments on the AfD page, but the consensus was to redirect to the main article and I am obligated to to follow the consensus. The proper procedure if you want the page back is to propose its creation on the talk:Rico (Hannah Montana) and talk:Hannah Montana pages and see if consensus has changed. Most of the existing character pages are on shakey grounds already. See the Rico AfD discussion for a lot of pointers to the reasons. --NrDg 13:37, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
Also note, that nothing has been deleted. If you go over the edit history of the page, all the old versions are still there. It is not really necessary to recreate the page from scratch if the result of the discussions is to resurrect the page. --NrDg 13:44, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you, and I was the one that made it before. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PsychoSchuyler (talkcontribs) 14:01, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

I added a note on the talk:Hannah Montana page as well. --NrDg 15:46, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 4 Minutes (Madonna song)

I do not wish to edit war with you,but if you say that this song is only 1 genre, then you've clearly never listened to it. ILikeMusicaLot (talk) 17:57, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

It is a classification issue. Pick the best match and don't make a list. I can see two at most for most singles. 3 is pushing it too far. I would prefer to see genres justified like any other thing, with references to sources, charts, reviews. Too many singles get a list because individuals keep adding their own evaluations and a lot of times they conflict. Some genres have subgenres and others genres are combos. Try to find the best match before creating a genre list. Dance Pop is a combo genre that best matches the song as you described it. I could support one more modifier to that. --NrDg 18:05, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
