[edit] History
[edit] The Early Days
Evergreen Field was created in 1964 by Wally Olsen. At the time it was in the middle of nowhere and only accesible by a small road. It was surrounded by farm fields.
[edit] Demise
At one time the airport had three runways. The first closed due to the creation of a WinCo store directly at the end of the runway. The building created a hazard to aircraft and the runway had to be closed. THe airprot was sold by the Olsen family to developers in 2006. The developers recenly announced that they were canceling there plans of building on the airport, amnd that the property had little value.
