[edit] March 2008
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Rob McDowall do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
- Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
- The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bbebo\.com' (link(s): http://i3.bebo.com/045a/12/mediuml/2008/03/01/22/3657864611a7040105593ml.jpg) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
- Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 20:03, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Rob McDowall
A tag has been placed on Rob McDowall requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. αѕєηιηє t/c 20:16, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Meeeeeeeeeee.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Meeeeeeeeeee.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Rob McDowall. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Rob McDowall. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

This is the only warning you will recieve. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Talk:Rob McDowall. Sceptre (talk) 22:55, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Rob McDowall
I have nominated Rob McDowall, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rob McDowall. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. αѕєηιηє t/c 10:51, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
{{unblock|I understand this policy now. I have never edited before on here and i was confused. I got a message from a user saying add links etx, i added all the links i had. I didnt know what was happening. I know now, you are all not very supportive of new people at all, quite the opposite. --Np097264 12:32, 23 March 2008 (UTC)}}.
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Meeeeeeeeeee.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Meeeeeeeeeee.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:26, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Blocking policy
I have been blocked? I have done nothing wrong. No vandalism, I am a new member and keep getting really silly warnings instead of help. Can you please look at the article and let me know what part of it is vandalism?
- You are not blocked now. I understand from the unblock request granted message that you understand now. Please read WP:SPAM and WP:EL to understand about external links policies. -- Alexf42 15:20, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Help Please
{{helpme}} I have been told to tidy up the article, I removed the things about McDowall's personal life etc, can someone let me know what else could be done, and how to categorise it and tidy it up. Help is very much appreciated. Thanks Np097264t
[edit] Clean up
[edit] With regards to the article
I see the notability now. With regards to us not giving help - the idea is that you ask, because sometimes new editors are offended by our concerns. αѕєηιηє t/c 23:34, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:Meeeeeeeeeee.jpg
A tag has been placed on Image:Meeeeeeeeeee.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image with an unknown source or an unknown copyright status which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. αѕєηιηє t/c 23:34, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Revert of edit on SSY
I'm afraid I didnt revert the edit on the Scottish Socialist Youth page - another editor reverted to my previous version which had the wrong address. Ms medusa (talk) 17:45, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] MfD nomination of Rob McDowall
Rob McDowall, a page you created, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Rob McDowall and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
