The article suggests that NOx catalysts aren't used on any production vehicles due to their expense and high technology, but the Honda Insight used NOx adsorbers since their introduction (in addition to a conventional 3-way catalyst). To purge the catalyst, rather than spray fuel onto the mesh, the engine ran rich for a while. Through the use of two O2 sensors, the ECU would automatically alter the AFR between lean burn operation and purging. LostCause (talk) 21:28, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
