- This article describes the 8th album in the US Now! series. It should not be confused with the original 1986 UK album of the same name. For more information, see Now That's What I Call Music! 8 (U.K. series).
Now That's What I Call Music! 8 was released on November 20, 2001. The album is the 8th edition of the (US) Now! series. It peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200[1] and has been certified 3x Platinum[2]. The album features three Billboard Hot 100 #1 hits: "Bootylicious", "Stutter (Double Take Remix)", and "U Got It Bad".
Now! 8 was dedicated to Aaliyah, who died in a plane crash on August 25, 2001, with a portion of the album's profits going to the Aaliyah Memorial Fund[3].
