Now That's What I Call Music! 57 (U.K. series)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This article describes an album in the UK Now! series. It should not be confused with similarly or identically-titled albums belonging to different "Now!" series. For more information, see List of Now That's What I Call Music! albums.

Now That's What I Call Music! 57 or Now 57 was released in 2004. The album is the 57th edition of the (UK) Now! series. It sold 334,345 units in the first week of sales, and at the time of release it was the fastest selling record of the 21st century. It would remain the biggest first week sale for a Now album until Now 69 in 2008, which sold 382,759.

The inlay contains a quite noticeable error in the write-up for Franz Ferdinand - it (correctly) states that they were named after the Austrian archduke of the same name, but state that his assassination started World War II. The inlay also states that it's something that "all historians know".
