Now That's What I Call Music! 19 was released on July 19, 2005. The album is the 19th edition of the (US) Now! series. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, becoming the 7th volume of the series to reach the top of the Pop album chart[1].

Now! 19 has been certified 2x Platinum[2] and features one Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit, Hollaback Girl. This track is also the first one to include a Spanish only track on the main album for the US Series. That song is La Tortura, by Shakira & Alejandro Sanz. This feat would only be accomplished 3 years later, with the premiere of Now That's What I Call Music! 28 in which the spanish track, Te Quiro, would be added by Panamanian reggaeton singer Flex & Mexican pop-rock singer Belinda.
