novy god is just the russian word for 'new year', this page should redirect to new year's eve page where we could add84.167.255.182 14:44, 25 December 2006 (UTC) information on the Soviet traditions.

[edit] Russian Jews

The sentence beginning with "Russian Jews in America and Israel often use the Novogodnyaya Yolka..." seems to imply to me that Russian immigrants of other religion have dropped this practice while the Russian Jews have continued it. Is that what was intended? If not, wouldn't it be better stated "Russian immigrants often use the Novogodnyaya Yolka..."?
