The Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power station (Russian: Нововоронежская АЭС) is a nuclear power station in close proximity to Novovoronezh in Voronezh Oblast, central Russia. The site was vital to the development of the VVER design, every unit built was essentially a prototype of its design.

Unit [1] Type First criticality
Novovoronezh - 1 WWER-440/210 (prototype)  ?
Novovoronezh - 2 WWER-440/365 (prototype) 23.12.1969
Novovoronezh - 3 WWER-440/179 22.12.1971
Novovoronezh - 4 WWER-440/179 25.12.1972
Novovoronezh - 5 WWER-1000/187 (prototype) 30.04.1980
Novovoronezh - 6 AES-2006/WWER-1200 (prototype) (future)

It is one of the few sites in the world that has reactors undergoing decommissioning, operating, and under construction.
