Novosokolniki

Novosokolniki (Russian: Новосоко́льники) is a town in the southern part of Pskov Oblast, Russia, located on the Maly Udray River some 287 km southeast of Pskov. It is situated at the junction of two railroads: Saint Petersburg–Kiev and Moscow–Riga. Geographic coordinates: . Population: 9,500 (2005 est.); 9,757 (2002 Census).
Novosokolniki was founded in 1901 due to construction of the railroad, and granted town status in 1925.
