Noviye Cheremushki (Russian: Новые Черемушки) is the name of a district in the south-western part of Moscow and is also the name of one of Moscow Metro's stations. The name originates from the old Russian village. The area has experienced an impressive construction boom over the past few years as Gazprom and other major Russian companies opened their offices there. The district has numerous shopping malls and restaurants. It is also known as one of the so-called "sleeping" districts meaning that it has a lot of residential buildings.
