Nova Gradiška is a scenic city located in the Brod-Posavina county of Croatia, population 15,833 (2001). It is located in the historic region of Slavonia, near the border to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The first word in the name means New, and there's also an Old Gradiška nearby, the town of Stara Gradiška.

Nova Gradiška is often referred to as The youngest city.

The city of Nova Gradiška was founded in 1748. It had been founded because of Vojna krajina. Already in 1754. the first building built - is the church of Saint Tereza, which is an important monument of baroque building art in Slavonija. The old core is made of: church of Saint Terezija, old court and prison from 18. century.

The town is located near the Croatian most important railway line frequently served by passenger trains. The highway A3 is also passing nearby. Highway and railway are part of the Pan European corridor X .Bus traffic within the town as also suburban traffic is very well developed. There are also direct connections to Požega and nearby crossing to Bosnia and Herzegowina is in the vicinity of a few kilometers.

Radio Nova Gradiška (RNG) is the local radiostation.

Once, this was one of the well developed industrial regions, mainly the metallurgy industry. The industry bancrupted, due to civil war. Today only some furniture industry and beerindustry exists in small parts. Therefore the big initiative to extemd the industry park successfully commences.
