Nová Ves nad Žitavou (Hungarian: Zsitvaújfalu) is a village and municipality in the Nitra District in western central Slovakia, in the Nitra Region. The village lies at an altitude of 164 metres and covers an area of 10.173km². It has a population of about 1270 people, with a distribution of approximately 99% Slovak and 1% Magyar. In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1355.

The village has a public library a gym and a football pitch.
