[edit] Merge
As I have said at Village Pump, I don't think the merges are a good idea:" many notable buildings, especially those that are private residences, are not regarded as "of local interest" by the inhabitants at all. Architects & those with an interest in architecture tend to look at townscapes in a very different way from other people, and I see no harm in a page relecting this". [edit] Comments
- The reference to the WP:local chrches & local congregations is wrong, as that specifically excludes consideration of the buildings - referring to WP:LOCAL.
- The criterions on historical importance seem rather tight to me - Grade 1 in the UK is a relatively rare grading, & there are probably more articles on Grade II* buildings than on Grade I, I would guess. These are certainly a far tougher threshold than the ones you give for modern buildings.
- Otherwise it seems sensible.
- As you have put it on Village pump, I would remove the "dead" tag on the page Johnbod 20:34, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
