Not On Our Watch: The Mission to End Genocide in Darfur and Beyond was born out of a collaboration between Academy Award-nominated actor Don Cheadle and a long time human rights activist and co-chair of the ENOUGH campaign John Prendergast. A New York Times bestseller, the book aims at further nourishing the efforts of an increasingly concerned public, in the United States and abroad, to bring an end to genocide in Sudan's Darfur region and other cases of mass atrocities whenever and wherever they may occur. The book outlines practical ways in which ordinary citizens can take action to end ongoing tragedies in Darfur, northern Uganda, eastern Congo and elsewhere, and to prevent them from unfolding in the future. Holocaust Survivor Elie Wiesel contributed with a foreword and Senators Barack Obama and Sam Brownback wrote the book's introduction. A portion of the proceeds are being donated to ENOUGH, a joint initiative of the International Crisis Group and the Center for American Progress to abolish genocide and mass atrocities. More information about the book and the situation in Darfur and other places can be found at www.ENOUGHproject.org.
