[edit] Subst

Is this one of the templates that has to be subst?--Crossmr 05:00, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Generally all templates on User talk pages should be subst'ituted. The page and its archives should show exactly what the user saw when viewing the message. Unlike in articles and in discussion page headers, there is little reason for messages in discussions to dynamically reflect changes in a template. See also Wikipedia:Template_substitution. —Centrxtalk • 06:48, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Broken?

Something seems wrong with the template, but I'm not sure what - witness how it comes out at Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace#About participating in discussions. Shiroi Hane 08:24, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Fixed. The template worked, but only if SUBST'ed. Now it can be transcluded properly. Λυδαcιτγ 23:06, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
