[edit] Map Request

Map needed
It is requested that a map or maps be included in this article to improve its quality.
Wikipedians in England may be able to help!

I think it would be useful to have a map showing just how much larger the 'Greater Nottingham' area is than the 'City'. It might clarify things elsewhere with regard to what is and isn't Nottingham. Bevo74 12:01, 5 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] title

This is a rather tendentious title (especially if one was born in Derby :-)) - isn't it just the ONS 'Travel to work ' area'? The Bristol 'Travel to Work' area, of similar size, was used as a justification for the County of Avon - quite a good one, operationally, but alas not politically! (The result is, in both cases, the city unitary authorities are based on 'old boundaries' and so rather undersized, even to service their core population )Linuxlad 17:51, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merge?

There is a move to merge Greater Bristol and Bristol - I would have thought that Nottingham and Bristol should be dealt with similary since they're broadly similar-sized cities and hinterlands. Bob aka Linuxlad 16:53, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
