Talk:Nottingham University Gliding Club
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I saw this page while looking for information on the Grob Acro, and found user:Mholland had flagged this page as a candidate for deletion. NUGC is one of the largest and most active University gliding clubs in the UK, and, for example, can quite often be found mentioned in "Sailplane and Gliding" the official magazine of the British Gliding Association. While it may not be of interest in the context of being a University club, I certainly feel the club is a notable member of the UK gliding community and of interest to people within the sport of gliding.
I did a search for other gliding clubs on wikipedia, and noted several other university clubs with pages here: Imperial college gliding club, Loughborough Students Union Gliding Club, Oxford University Gliding Club, and the University of Surrey Gliding Club. I see no reason to single this page out for deletion, especially since it seems to be one of the better written ones.
I hope this is the right procedure, but based on the above arguments I am removing the deletion note. I shall also make a note on user:Mholland's page to draw his attention to this, in case he has any objection.
