Was he actually bankrupt? I think he avoided it by writing this novel, and his main page agrees. 88.107.139.51 14:57, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
There was a movie made of this book. I think it should be mentioned in the article as well.
Archer was not bankrupt, and he uses his near miss in "First Among Equals". It was actually a two part miniseries I think with Ed Asner as Harvey. I'll check IMDB.--Wehwalt 22:11, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
