Notosetia aoteana is a species of minute sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cyclostrematidae. It is the type species of the genus.

This species is endemic to New Zealand, found around the Three Kings Islands.

This snail is found at depths of about 260 m.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is smaller than Notosetia neozelanica, has the addition of a deep narrow umbilicus, and there is a broad band of subperipheral fine striations, as well as three more prominent grooves around the lower base. The colour is white.
Shell height is up to 1.2 mm, and the width is up to 1 mm.
