Notoplax facilis is a very rare species of chiton in the family Acanthochitonidae.

This species is endemic to Otago in the South Island of New Zealand.

The only example of this rare chiton was found in a deep rock pool, but has not been seen since its original discovery.

This valves are deep and narrowly pentagonal. The dorsal area is long and narrowly wedge-shaped. The lateral areas are covered with a few rows of irregularly rounded pustules.
Coloration of the shell is greenish with black specks.
Length is up to 26 mm, and width up to 12 mm.
