NoteScribe is a Microsoft Windows based hierarchical notetaking software designed for school, business, and at home. Developed for students, NoteScribe, a digital organizational tool, is a way to categorize and archive information; notes (typed or handwritten), pictures, graphics, photos and even audio/video recordings. With NoteScribe, information is stored and accessed by categories, sources, and key words.
NoteScribe is used by undergraduate students, graduate students and professors for completing research, as well as tracking notes in the classroom and from textbooks. NoteScribe assists users in compiling their research and information into one organized application, in a hierarchical category tree containing levels and sub-levels. Users have the ability to then search for notes by Category, Sources, and Keywords. Additionally, NoteScribe contains a Global Search Function designed to search through all of a user's notes for words or phrases.
NoteScribe also assists students and professors with creating sources and bibliographies. After the information is inputted for a source, the user can have a source generated in APA Style, AMA Style, MLA Style, and many other frequently used citation formats. At the completion of a research paper users can select the sources they want to include in their bibliography, and NoteScribe will arrange the bibliography in the style selected by the user.
