[edit] Name
The genus name is combined from Nosferatu and the ending -attus, which is common for salticid genera (as in Antillattus, Attidops, Attulus, Burmattus, Caribattus, Chinattus and so on).
[edit] Systematics
This genus is probably related to Aillutticus, with which they share a high, broad carapace, rounded laterally behind the posterior lateral eyes, and the cephalic region slightly convex.
